As Johnny Manziel hits the back end of his career; the former Heisman Trophy winning sensation is looking to explore new options.
Manziel has been a journeymen as of late, playing for two teams in the CFL and briefly signing with the AAF. But, his gig with the AAF looks to be at a close due to the league folding. Manziel, tells Dan Patrick of the Dan Patrick Show that he is expressing interest in coaching or media.
"I could see myself being in a coaching setting. … I see anything, whether it's on the media side or coaching side … if getting back to the NFL doesn't work out." – @JManziel2 on @dpshow

Johnny Manziel is known for having a flamboyant personality, so media could be a quality avenue. As of today, Manziel has had on camera media experience with Barstool Sports. Manziel has been the host and figurehead of the podcast “Comeback SZN” which details his comeback to football and other college football topics.
Due to Manziel’s personality, Barstool Sports seems to be a solid fit for his media ventures. However, Manziel is a competitor, so coaching could be another avenue. Manziel’s downside includes lack of discipline off the field, so coaching could be a tough road to pursue.
Manziel, 26, has not played in the NFL since 2015 and posted just a 74.4 QBR while in Cleveland. It also remains unanswered how the former Texas A&M star got kicked out of the CFL. Reports cite ‘violating and agreement’ for the boot by the CFL.
