Joakim Soria, 34, just put together yet another fine MLB season. And unsurprisingly, he’s generating plenty of interest on the open market. T former Milwaukee Brewers reliever appears to be quite popular this offseason. Right now, there are at least five teams with interest in his services. They include the Diamondbacks, Angels, Yankees, Braves and Reds, sources tell Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com.

Soria spent time between the White Sox and Brewers this past season. putting up a 3.12 ERA and 1.14 WHIP while striking out 29.4% of opposing batters. But that doesn’t quite do his 2018 season justice. He also put up a 2.44 FIP and 2.56. Despite a dip in velocity, the reliever is adapting just fine. He was also a key member of the Brewers bullpen down the stretch and during the postseason.
Since making his major league debut in 2007, Soria has put together one heckuva career. With just over 600 innings under his belt in the majors, he has a 2.88 ERA, 3.01 FIP and 3.03. Based on last season, he still has plenty left in the tank. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets a multi-year deal at this point, though. That said, we may learn of his fate once winter meetings begin this Sunday.
Which team makes the most sense for him?
