Manager Alex Cora says it’s an ankle injury that needs further evaluation. And here’s the thing about that: he’s off to an excellent start. Through his first 40 plate appearances, Bogaerts is slashing an immense .368/.400/.711 with two home runs. He’s as big a reason as any for Boston’s hot start.
