Ronda Rousey has another gold belt to wrap around her waist.
In her second opportunity to win the WWE Raw women’s championship, the former UFC women’s bantamweight title holder tapped Alexa Bliss with her trademark arm bar, a technique made famous during her dominant days in MMA. The victory took just under five minutes in front of a pro-Rousey crowd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
“Rowdy” took the fame she gained while in the UFC and has managed to parlay her natural self promoting abilities and acting skills to quickly become one of the WWE’s most popular figures. She joins Ken Shamrock and Brock Lesnar as the only athletes to hold titles in both promotions.
With her new career blossoming, it’s safe to say that Rousey will not be returning to active MMA competition any time soon.
