Following the aftermath of UFC 229, Khabib Nurmagomedov would tweet about WWE. Because at this point — why not, right?

As we know, Khabib took the fight to Conor McGregor at UFC 229 — ultimately making him tap via a rear-naked choke. But the fighting didn’t stop there, as Nurmagomedov then took to the crowd to go after McGregor’s team. It led to this.

And now, reports are surfacing that WWE has reached out to Nurmagomedov. But it wasn’t because of his tweet. Here’s the latest report, courtesy of Ringside News:
“Our sources have told us that WWE did reach out to Khabib, but it was 2 months ago. We are being told that WWE did not reach out to Khabib last week as many might have assumed since it is when he put out the tweet.”
Regardless, Khabib in WWE doesn’t make much sense to us. McGregor? Absolutely. He has the charisma. He hypes fights. His whole thing is an act. Either you’re in on it or you’re not. That’s perfect for Vince McMahon and company. But Nurmagomedov? Not so much. Though, we sure would love to see him wrestle Brock Lesnar.
Hey — never say never, right? We know better by now.
