NBA All-Star snubs are all the rage these days. And, everyone is getting in on the fun! But Philadelphia 76ers’ stud Ben Simmons continues to speak on it. On the season, Simmons is averaging 16.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He’s only 21 years old, and it’s his first full season in the NBA.
How the heck isn’t he an All-Star? As it turns out, Simmons has trouble with that as well.
“I don’t really know what an All-Star is anymore. I mean if it was about win-lose, you picked Dragic obviously and you pick Kemba, whose team is seven wins under us.”
But he doesn’t stop there.
“It is what it is, but my stats don’t lie.”
Simmons is right. But for now, let’s talk win-lose. On the season, Kemba Walker’s Hornets are 23-31 and five games out of the playoff picture. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers are holding onto that eighth spot — five games ahead. But what aboutAGoran DragiA’s Miami Heat? At 29-26, they are just a half-game ahead of Simmons and the Sixers.
There’s no denying his talent, but it seems the powers that be aren’t convinced just yet. What’s going to change their mind going forward?
