The Boston Celtics outdid themselves last night. With the Thunder leading 98-92 with 24.7 seconds remaining, the Celtics would have a 0.6 percent chance of pulling off the victory.
But Boston did it, dealing a huge blow to the Thunder in the process. OKC is in the middle of a heated playoff battle out west, with spots 3-8 separated by just four games. And while Boston still trails Toronto by five games out east, wins like these are why we cannot dismiss them just yet.
After all, they are currently dealing with injuries to both Kyrie Irving and Marcus Smartaamong others. There’s no easy answer out east, but there’s also no quit in the Celtics. And that counts for plenty right now.
Trailing by two in the closing seconds, Marcus Morris came through.

Up next, Boston visits Portland on Friday night. That should be fun.
