Not even two weeks ago, Sixers big man Joel Embiid would call out Detroit’s big man Andre Drummond. Following their matchup, he would say “I feel like I own a lot of real estate in his head.”
Of course, Drummond wasn’t having that. And he promptly took to Twitter to respond.
Lol does he? If that’s so he wouldn’t be so excited to have me off the floor? Think about it that’s a silly statement ! I’ll take the W though enjoy flight home #Emmyaward winning actor

Then on Saturday afternoon, the two were at it again. Well Embiid was anyway, putting 39 points (18 FTs) and 17 rebounds in Philly’s important 109-99 win over the Pistons. Meanwhile, Drummond was held to just eight points and nine rebounds over 21 minutes of action. And Embiid wasn’t going to just let that sit. After all, how could he? We’re talking about one of the more expressive players in the lead. So he took to Twitter with a simple message.

It could be said that the 76ers (6-4) are off to a slow start. And after last season, that’s probably true. But they’re protecting homecourt (6-0) and have won two in a row. Late Sunday afternoon, though, they hit the road to take on the Brooklyn Nets (3-6). They need a road win, and this is the one to get.
In the meantime, the Pistons have come down to Earth. After winning their first four games to start the season, they’ve lost four in a row. So don’t expect Embiid to stay quiet as the season progresses. Especially if he gets the better of Drummond and the Pistons again.
