The Houston Rockets are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. But they also have the best record in the NBA, not to mention home-court advantage.

The Rockets, 62-14, are enjoying another massive winning streak (11). But that’s not all; they also have the most three-pointers in the league. They are in the middle of a historic offensive season, and no other teams are safe.
But it’s going to be an entirely different animal when the postseason rolls around. Right now the Golden State Warriors have injuries to deal with. Right now, they are not playing their best basketball Meanwhile, the Rockets continue to be at their best. But right or wrong, they will be looked upon as failures if they don’t finish the job.
Fortunately for them, there’s every possibility they can do just that. When healthy, there’s not stopping the Rockets. Up next, they take on the Spurs this afternoon. And while San Antonio NEEDS this game, there’s a good chance they get a more relaxed opponent today.
They shouldn’t count on that in the postseason, however. No team should.
