It looks like Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler are getting back together. But this time, for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Last week, a report would surface suggesting that teams were only offering Rose 10-day contracts.
“With Thursdayas deadline for free agents to be playoff eligible, the phone has yet to ring with anything approaching a significant offer, multiple league sources told Bleacher Report.”
But now, that’s changing. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Timberwolves are moving in. That is, despite previous reports suggesting they had no interest in Rose.

And here’s where this conflictsafrom a month ago.
“If we could find the right person to fit into our team and have some ability to play, get out there on the floor, we are certainly going to look at it.AWe kept one slot open all year long just in case that possibility occurred. But as of today we donat have anybody in mind.”
Plans change, of course. But Rose is having a terrible season. However, there’s some familiarity there with both Jimmy Butler and head coach Tom Thibodeau. Still, that’s probably not enough to save D-Rose. On the season, he’s averaging 9.8 points and 1.6 assists.
For whatever reason, he’s just not good anymore. But let’s see if he can help the Timberwolves.
