Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving is on record saying the Earth is flat. Now Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry doesn’t think humans have been on the moon. Maybe it’s trolling, we have no idea. But on an episode of Vince Carter’s podcast “Winging It,” Curry and some of his teammates aren’t buying it.
“We ever been to the moon?” Curry is heard asking the room. In response, a lot of players would react negatively. Then he would weigh in as well, even (maybe) cracking a joke about conspiracy theories in the process.
“They’re going to come get us,” he adds. “I don’t think so, either … I’m starting conspiracies.”
When asked to clarify, he reaffirmed his stance with a simple “Uh-uh,” as in it didn’t happen. So there you have it, sports fans. According to Steph Curry, humans haven’t been to the moon. We can’t wait to hear what’s next!
On the court, though, his Warriors 18-9 and back in first place by a half-game over OKC and Denver. And despite injuries limiting him to just 16 games so far, Steph is averaging 29.6 points on 51.3 percent shooting (50 percent from long range) with an effective field goal rating of 64.7. If the season were to end today, that’d be a career-high.
