Monday morning, the Cleveland Browns made a decision. That decision, of course, was to fire head coach Hue Jackson. After taking over in 2016, the Browns went 3-36-1 under his guidance. For what it’s worth, they have won more games this season (2) than in their previous two put together. And while they’ve been competitive all season long, that’s no longer good enough. The Browns need to start winning games consistently. So they’re moving on. As it turns out, though, Jackson isn’t the only casualty. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley has been relieved of his duties as well.
Browns’ OC Todd Haley also has been fired, as @RapSheet reported.

Then again, this isn’t surprising. After eight games, the Browns rank 22nd in yards per game (357.4) and 24th in points per game (21.6). Defensively, they’re even worse in both categories. But they have to start somewhere, right? There’s plenty of offensive talent on this team. Scratch that — there’s plenty of talent in general on this team. Now it’ll be somebody else’s job to get the best out of them. Hue Jackson couldn’t do it. It appears as though Todd Haley can no longer run an offense either. So it’s back to the drawing board. One thing is certain, though.
They better make the right decision.
