We know Dez caught it. The NFL knows Dez caught it. But now it’s official: the NFL has finally changed the catch rule. In fact, it would pass unanimously on Tuesday afternoon.

That’s one helluva hashtag, by the way. In the meantime, this doesn’t erase Dallas losing to Green Bay in the playoffs. But at least going forward, the NFL knows what a catch is. Hopefully. After all, human beings still have to make decisions on the field and that gets a little messy.
That’s not all the NFL would change on Tuesday, however. But we’ll get to that.
Here’s the intention of the ‘new’ rule:
“Head of officiating Al Riveron said Monday the intention is to ensure memorable and seemingly legitimate catches – such as infamous receptions from Dez Bryant, Jesse James, and Calvin Johnson – aren’t called back.” baclofen without prescription, acquire lioresal.
That all sounds great, of course. But until we see it in practice, it’s difficult to get too hyped up about the change. This is the National Football League we’re talking about; they mess things up all the time.
But it’s a start. And all fans can be happy about that… for now. Get your pitchforks ready for week 1, though.
