The Miami Dolphins shocked the New England Patriots two weeks ago when they pulled off the unimaginable lateral play — that hardly ever works. But they’re not stopping there. They’ve got business to take care of, and it has everything to do about that final play.
Now the Dolphins are looking to trademark the phrase ‘MIAMIRACLE.’ Josh Gerben of Josh Gerben Law Firm has received a trademark application from the organization. If approved, they will begin to market the new phrase on team apparel.
The @MiamiDolphins are not missing out on any merchandising opportunities after the "miracle" game winning play against the Patriots.

The ‘MIAMIRACLE’ took shape when running back Kenyan Drake weaved through the Patriots’ defense and beat Robert Gronkowski to the end zone for the upset win. Unfortunately for them, the Dolphins were unable to follow up that upset with a win. Instead, the Minnesota Vikings went on to get the better of them this past Sunday.
But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t remember the play forever. After all, this is a play that never works. Now not only did it work, but it did so against the Patriots. That’s just about as sweet as it gets. Especially when you consider the fact that it came against a divisional rival.
Will you be picking up some ‘MIAMIRACLE’ merchandise?
