It doesn’t look like Brett Favre will be following in Tony Romo’s footsteps anytime soon.
Last week, Favre would speak openly about CTE, noting worries over how many concussions he probably suffered over time.
“When you have ringing of the ears, seeing stars, that is a concussion. If that is a concussion, Iave had hundreds, probably thousands, throughout my career, which is frightening. … simple words that would normally come out easy in a conversation, I will stammer. And look, I am 48 years old a could it just be, as we all like to say, as we get a little bit older, I forgot my keys and they were in my hand. Or, a?Where are my glasses?a and they are on my head. I wonder if that is what it is, or do I have early stages of CTE aAI donat know.”
But now, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Favre didn’t have a stellar showing auditioning to be the nest Monday Night Football analyst.
“Favre recently came in for one of the auditions, according to sources. Though it was unclear if Favre would even want the job, sources said he was not great during the tryout and has been told he is no longer under consideration. Favreas agent, Bus Cook, did not return a call. ESPN declined comment.”
Therefore, auditions remain open. In the meantime, let’s hope the gunslinger can find something else to put his mind to.
