The Indianapolis Colts just shut out the Dallas Cowboys. Now they’ll get to battle the Giants without their top wideout this weekend. Friday morning, the Giants officially ruled Odell Beckham out of Sunday’s contest. It will be the third straight game he misses due to a quad injury.

OBJ didn’t practice all week so it’s not entirely surprising, but it’s disappointing that injuries are starting to rule his season for the second straight year. When he’s been able to suit up this season, Beckham is producing. Across 12 games, the has 1,052 yards on 77 receptions to go along with six scores. In four full seasons, OBJ has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark each time. He is also 2-for-2 passing the football this season, with 106 yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately despite the G-Men’s surge in recent weeks (4-2 over their last six), they’re still just 5-9 on the season. But with Saquon Barkley and a healthy Beckham, their offense could be very dangerous for years to come. The pieces are there, now it’s all about figuring out who will get them the football.
In the meantime, the Colts need to keep winning in order to stay alive in the AFC playoff hunt. With two games to go they are 8-6, but so are the Ravens — who happen to hold the tiebreaker over Indy.
