The Jacksonville Jaguars are still searching for answers. Even if that means benching Blake Bortles against the Houston Texans. Because that’s exactly what they did on Sunday afternoon.

Like yikes, Scoob! But seriously, Bortles is bad. We don’t know which version will show up from week to week. This team needs a better, more consistent quarterback. And the Jaguars need to win football games. As of this writing, the Texans lead 20-7 as the fourth quarter winds down. And there’s no reason Houston shouldn’t be able to see this one through. Jacksonville came into this one losing two in a row and a third straight loss will drop them to 3-4.
Meanwhile, the Texans have won their last three — about to be four — and will climb to 4-3, taking over the AFC South lead in the process. Bortles would finish 6-for-12 with 61 yards before being benched. Since entering, Kessler is 18-of-24 (75%) with 131 yards, one TD and one interception. Plus, that’s only 5.5 yards per attempt. That doesn’t cut it.
And suddenly, it looks like the Jaguars are in real trouble.
