There’s always times for firsts in the NFL. Even if you’re in your fourth season in the league. Just ask Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota. Entering Sunday’s game against the Chargers, Mariota had yet to throw an interception in the red zone. But late in the first half, that would no longer be the case.
And to be honest, it would change the course of the game for good.

48 touchdowns, zero interceptions. No longer.
You never want to turn the ball over just before halftime. But that goes double when you’re inside the red zone. And in this case, right on the 10-yard line. But stuff happens, right?
Ultimately, the Chargers got the best of Tennessee (20-19), handing the Titans their third straight loss. In other words, Mariota and company need to get back on track. Two of their previous three losses have been by a single point. And up next, they get their bye week.
Let’s see if it helps.
