The New England Patriots will be hoping for plenty more catches like these from new wideout Josh Gordon. Sunday afternoon against the Dolphins, the former All-Pro hauled in his first reception from Tom Brady. And it almost went for a touchdown too.

In the end, however, the Pats would settle for an opening drive field goal. After two straight losses, it looks like they’re not taking any chances. Instead of going for it, Bill Belichick settled for a chip shot — 20 yards — to open the scoring. At home. In either case, New England needs a win in the worst way.
Meanwhile, this is Gordon’s first game for the Patriots since coming over in a trade last week. He didn’t suit up in Week 3, but it looks like he’ll be ready to go from here on out. We know what kind of player he can be, now it’s just up to Brady, Belichick and Co. to get the best out of him.
This is only the beginning.
