Kupp did suffer an MCL sprain last weekend against Denver. At the time, the injury was serious enough to see him carted off during the second quarter. But, he would still return to play in the second half.
McVay says that Kupp will “probably miss” the game against San Francisco. Still, the sophomore receiver has gotten off to a hot start with five touchdowns and 438 receiving yards. He’s nearly topping every receiver category with the Rams as well. With Kupp missing some game-time action, Rams receiver Josh Reynolds will be stepping. And hey, at least they get the Niners — right? In other words, the Rams should be fine.
But that’s why they play the game.
While Kupp’s production will be hard to make up for, Reynolds will at least look to improve upon his three receptions for 37 yards. We all start somewhere, right? Right now, the Rams are the only unbeaten team left in the league. At 6-0, they will be getting every team’s best shot from here on out. It starts with the Niners in Week 7, who are 1-5 and fading fast.
